What we look at in the
kitchen.
Door and drawer count. Whether boxes are solid or swollen. Substrate - wood, MDF, laminate. Hardware. How we will stage doors out of the house. Lighting, because the color that looked right in the shop can shift in a north-facing Palo Alto galley. We bring peel-and-stick or physical samples so you can live with a color through the day.
If the boxes have failed, we say replace. That conversation is the point of showing up. Background: refinish vs replace.
What we look at in the
bathroom.
Does the tub hold water. Is the floor firm. Chips, rust, cracks, color. Whether tile walls are in scope. We will not coat over an active leak. If a plumber needs the floor open, that happens first.
Tub-only versus tub-plus-tile is a scope choice you make with real numbers, not a surprise on install day. See bathtub refinish vs replace.
What the written quote
contains.
Rooms, door count or tub/tile scope, finish, sheen, timeline, price, warranty (5 years on the finish), and what is not included - counters, plumbing, moving walls. If you change color or add the island after signing, the number can change. If you do not, it should not.

How to book the
visit.
Call (669) 231-9510 or send the form on golden-touch-up.com. Hours 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, seven days. We serve the South Bay, Peninsula, East Bay, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz County from the Santa Clara workshop. The drive is in the estimate - no zone surprise.
Bring any color ideas you already have. If you have none, that is what samples are for.
